As the most influential U.S. transportation engineering organization rewrites its bike guide, there seems to be general agreement that protected bike lanes should be included for the first time.
A review panel appointed by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officialswill meet July 25 to start reviewing drafts of the new guide, including eight new chapters highlighted here in blue:
